Palo Santo Aromatic Wood

Palo Santo, also known as holy wood, is naturally aromatic Bursera graveolens wood. When burned, it releases a warm, rich, and slightly sweet aroma with notes of wood, resin, and subtle citrus.

In Central and South America, Palo Santo has long been used in traditional, spiritual, and religious ceremonies. Its fragrant smoke is often used to prepare for meditation, prayer, or a peaceful evening ritual, as well as to create a cozy and conducive atmosphere for concentration in the home.

In spiritual practices, it is believed that Palo Santo smoke helps to symbolically cleanse space, release accumulated tension, and strengthen the intention of a ritual. The aroma of Palo Santo is also perfect for moments when you want to slow down, calm your mind, and pay more attention to your inner state.

How to Use Palo Santo

Light one end of the Palo Santo stick and hold the flame for about 20–30 seconds.

Carefully extinguish the flame by blowing or gently shaking the stick. The wood should smolder slowly and release fragrant smoke.

Place the stick in a heat-resistant incense holder or carefully walk around the desired space. The smoke can be directed into room corners, around ritual objects, or your surroundings.

Palo Santo naturally extinguishes quite quickly. The same stick can be lit and used many times.

When to Use

Palo Santo is suitable:

• before meditation, yoga, or prayer
• to create a cozy and ritualistic atmosphere
• after a stressful or emotionally difficult day
• when preparing a space for mindfulness practices
• for a symbolic cleansing ritual of a home or objects

Safe Use

Use only in a well-ventilated room.

Do not leave a burning or smoldering stick unattended. Keep it away from flammable surfaces, children, and pets.

Do not inhale the smoke directly and deeply. Ventilate the room after use.
